Premature Ejaculation: Causes & Treatments

First of all, what is premature ejaculation?
It's when you ejaculate earlier than desired while undergoing sexual activity.

Premature ejaculation is a huge problem among men all across the world. In my other post, I talk about what you can do to last longer in bed, so try those solutions out. In this post I'll be addressing possible causes, and respective treatments for these causes.

Causes of Premature Ejaculation

Most of the time, PE is caused by your own emotional well-being. If you're always really stressed, have anxiety, or lack confidence, this will have a negative impact on your sexual performance. Ensure that you're emotionally well before considering other causes of your PE. Boost that mental strength, and don't be scared to have sex with a woman, as this will ultimately make it worse for you.

Others say that genetics play a major role in the amount of time you can last in bed. This is just a speculation that many doctors have made, and shouldn't be deemed an official cause.

In addition, it can be caused by a plethora of different illnesses and diseases. These may include: thyroid problems, prostate infections, unusual hormones, and even nervous system damage. If you think any of these may apply to you, visit your doctor as soon as possible and figure out what the root cause is, so you can get it treated accordingly. By treating that illness that you have, you'll also get rid of premature ejaculation (which was most likely correlated directly to that disease).

Treatments for Premature Ejaculation

First of all, I highly recommend my other post for some all-natural tips and tricks that'll work, guaranteed. If you haven't seen it yet, you can view it here: How to Last Longer in Bed

Other treatments I'll recommend below will not work for everyone, but may have a positive effect, so try these at your own discretion.

Pills and Other Medications:

Many have heard that pills are the key to eliminating premature ejaculation. Unfortunately, there are no approved ways to get rid of PE, so these "solutions" are not recommended to use (by me at least). These drugs may have some severe effects, so definitely consult with a doctor before proceeding to use them. They're usually some sort of anti-depressant, and if they work, go ahead and use them!

Numbing Creams:

These are the main products that people tend to experiment with. The problem is that since they numb the penis, it removes the pleasure out of sex. What's the point of using them if they take away the feeling of pleasure? These creams may also come in gel form, and certain condoms tend to add a little bit of this gel near the tip. These have the biggest disadvantages, so I'd stay away from these altogether.

The Stop-and-Start Method:

This exercise has been repeatedly debated. I think it's actually highly ineffective, and makes it worse for you, and your mate. I don't want to delve into the specifics of why this isn't good, but basically you want to do the exact opposite. You have to get into the moment, and focus on the sex rather than divert yourself by stopping, and thinking of non-arousing things. In addition, your mate most likely wouldn't like the idea of stopping every couple of minutes.
